Dr. Bonanno utilizes an integrative approach to psychotherapy. He skillfully applies a variety of treatment modalities and draws on his personal experiences to help patients overcome their specific problems and challenges. Dr. Bonanno believes in establishing a positive rapport with his patients and considers this an integral component to successful treatment. He embraces a collaborative approach and loves to assist his patients in modifying their life patterns so that they promote positive change and wellness.

Dr. Aroesty believes in working collaboratively with his patients to build on their strengths. He uses humor and creativity to create new perspectives in order to promote growth and positive change. Dr. Aroesty’s Doctoral dissertation focused on coping with uncertainty in decision-making. He has experience working with people of all ages in a variety of settings including private practice, forensic institutes, college counseling centers, and community mental health clinics.

During a lengthy career, Ms. Cole has acquired expertise treating children, adolescents and adults of all ages. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient mental health, school social work and for twelve years as a clinician with Jewish Family Services of West Hartford. She has also worked with many individuals, including children, with ADHD and learning difficulties. She has a collaborative approach to therapy, and utilizes cognitive behavioral , interpersonal and psychodynamic approaches in therapy. Ms. Cole believes in the importance of a trusting, safe, therapeutic relationship to help facilitate positive change and works hard to help each client reach their goals.

Dr. Crawford works to promote self-awareness and understanding in her patients. She helps improve her patients’ relationships by emphasizing healthy communication and strengthening bonds. Specializing in family counseling, Sarah finds her passion in increasing harmony within families.

Melissa Hodgson, Psy. D

Education: B.A. Psychology from Kenyon College & Doctorate of Psychology from Argosy University in Washington D.C.
Special Interest: Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Grief, Physical Illness, and Difficult Family Dynamics. Also well-trained in psychotropic medications.
Dr. Hodgson has a strong background in neuropsychology and has experience with neuropsychological evaluations. Though evaluations are not conducted within the practice, Dr. Hodgson still reads and interprets them, having extensive experience working with many physical and neurological illnesses including fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and multiple sclerosis. Utilizing multiple modalities including psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral treatments, Dr. Hodgson works with each patient to craft a unique treatment plan that best fits their needs.
